SAP S/4HANA Project Manager
We are currently partnering with a well-known organisation in Sydney that is about to embark on a significant SAP S/4HANA implementation. They are looking for an experienced SAP S/4HANA Project Manager to join on a contract basis and lead the delivery from the client side.
This is a key role sitting between the business and the implementation partner, ensuring the program is delivered on time, on budget, and aligned to business outcomes.
The Role
As the SAP S/4HANA Project Manager, you will:
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of an SAP S/4HANA implementation
- Act as the primary liaison between the business and the implementation vendor
- Manage scope, timelines, budget, risks, and dependencies
- Oversee governance, steering committees, and executive reporting
- Ensure strong stakeholder engagement across finance, operations, IT, and senior leadership
- Drive change management and ensure business readiness
- Hold the vendor accountable to agreed deliverables and milestones
This is a client-side role, so strong stakeholder management and the ability to challenge and influence external partners will be critical.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven experience delivering at least one full-cycle SAP S/4HANA implementation
- Prior experience in a client-side Project Manager role
- Strong understanding of SAP program governance and delivery frameworks
- Experience managing large system integrators or implementation partners
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- A structured, commercially minded approach to risk and issue management
- Experience across Finance (FI/CO), Supply Chain, or broader ERP transformation programs will be highly regarded.
