About the Role
We are seeking an SAP EWM Functional Consultant to support the next phase of a major automation initiative within fulfillment centres. This is a fantastic opportunity for a consultant who is in the early stages of their SAP journey but eager to gain hands-on experience in a complex environment.
In this role, you will play a key part in integrating SAP EWM with cutting-edge automation systems, including driverless vehicles and an Automatic Tray Retrieval System (ATRS). You’ll work closely with technical teams, automation vendors, and business users to ensure smooth configuration, testing, and operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities
-
Support the integration of SAP EWM with automated warehouse systems (driverless vehicles, ATRS, and other automation).
-
Collaborate with business users and technical teams to design, configure, and test EWM processes related to automation.
-
Assist with issue resolution, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of automation-enabled processes.
-
Participate in system testing, cutover, and go-live support activities.
-
Work in alignment with solution architects, senior consultants, and automation vendors to deliver outcomes.
-
Document processes, configurations, and learnings to support knowledge transfer and sustainability.
Key Requirements
Must Have
-
Experience (or strong exposure) to SAP EWM integration with automation systems (e.g. driverless vehicles, ATRS).
-
Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset with a willingness to learn quickly.
-
Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders.
-
Ability to be onsite in South Melbourne 3 days per week.
Nice to Have
-
Exposure to other SAP supply chain modules (MM, WM, TM).
-
Experience working in automotive or warehouse environments.
-
Prior involvement in automation rollouts within distribution centres or parts environments.
