Senior Business Analyst / SME – Workforce Management (UKG Rostering)
Contract Role | Major Government Transformation | Tasmania
A major public sector transformation program is underway to modernise workforce and payroll capabilities across multiple government agencies. This is one of the largest workforce transformation initiatives currently in Australia, covering tens of thousands of employees across a complex multi-agency environment.
With the first phase of functionality now entering testing, the program is moving into the next major stage focused on Payroll, Rostering and Health & Safety systems. We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst / Subject Matter Expert with strong UKG rostering expertise to play a key role in this phase of delivery.
You will work within a large multi-vendor program environment alongside a global systems integration partner and senior program leadership to ensure workforce management processes are successfully defined, validated and implemented.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the SME for UKG Workforce Management / Rostering across the program.
- Work closely with program stakeholders to capture, analyse and document business requirements.
- Translate operational rostering processes into functional requirements and system design inputs.
- Support solution validation, system testing and process alignment across payroll and workforce systems.
- Facilitate workshops with operational stakeholders across multiple agencies.
- Identify process impacts, risks and dependencies across workforce, payroll and HSE systems.
- Collaborate with delivery partners, architects and functional leads to ensure UKG rostering capability aligns with operational needs.
Key Skills & Experience
- Strong Business Analyst or SME experience in Workforce Management / Rostering systems.
- Demonstrated experience working with UKG (Kronos) Workforce Management, particularly rostering and scheduling.
- Experience supporting large workforce or payroll transformations.
- Ability to bridge business operations and technical delivery teams.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills across complex, multi-organisation environments.
- Experience working within large transformation programs or ERP environments highly regarded.
Work Environment
- Location: Tasmania preferred, or ability to travel and stay 4 nights every second week.
- Contract role on a major multi-year transformation program.
