Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAP BTP Integration Specialist to join the IT function of a well-established organisation within the Transportation and Logistics sector. The business delivers end-to-end services across warehousing, distribution, relocation, and outsourced sourcing and procurement.
The successful candidate will play a key role as an SAP BTP EDI Developer, leading the design, development, and ongoing support of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) solutions using the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) Integration Suite.
In this role, you will enable secure, seamless, and automated data exchange between internal platforms and external trading partners. You will work closely with both technical and business stakeholders to deliver robust integration solutions that underpin operational efficiency and drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and deploy EDI integration solutions using the SAP BTP Integration Suite, including data mappings, transformations, and communication protocols such as AS2 and SFTP.

Configure and support a range of EDI document standards, including X12, EDIFACT, and API-based integrations, to enable efficient data exchange between internal systems and external partners.

Drive the automation of integration processes with a strong focus on security, incorporating effective error handling and performance optimisation.

Work closely with business analysts, functional teams, and key stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver integration solutions aligned with business objectives.

Contribute to system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT), provide post-go-live support, and manage platform upgrades and ongoing enhancements.

Produce and maintain comprehensive documentation for integration processes, while staying up to date with industry best practices and emerging technologies across EDI and SAP BTP.
Required Qualifications and Skills

Demonstrated 3-5 years of experience as an EDI Developer, with a strong focus on SAP BTP Integration Platform, including hands-on expertise with the BTP EDI Adapter.

In-depth knowledge of EDI standards and communication protocols, including X12, EDIFACT, TRADACOMS, AS2, FTP, and SFTP.

Proven capability in Trading Partner Management (TPM), Managed File Transfer (MFT), B2B integrations, and core SAP ERP data mapping.

Strong technical proficiency across OData, IDocs, XML, XSLT, SOAP and REST web services, as well as SQL for data transformation and integration.

Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills, applied across both support and project-based environments.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and a wide range of stakeholders.
