Project Manager – Data Projects (Power BI & Snowflake)
6-Month Contract | Melbourne-Based | Hybrid Working Available
Are you a Project Manager with a passion for data-driven initiatives? We’re currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a critical data project for a leading organisation based in Melbourne. This 6-month contract role offers the opportunity to work on a high-impact initiative integrating multiple data sources to drive better business intelligence and reporting outcomes.
The Role:
You’ll be responsible for managing a data-focused project that involves consolidating and integrating data from over six internal and external systems into a central Snowflake data warehouse. The goal is to transform this data into a structured, report-ready format to be consumed by Power BI dashboards and other business intelligence tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end delivery of a data integration and transformation project.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including Data Engineers, Analysts, and Business Stakeholders.
- Work closely with technical teams to ensure seamless ETL processes and data pipeline execution.
- Monitor timelines, risks, and deliverables to ensure the project is delivered on time and within scope.
- Act as the bridge between business users and technical teams to translate requirements into data solutions.
What You’ll Bring:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager on data or business intelligence-related projects.
- Working knowledge of Snowflake and Power BI.
- Basic understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing concepts, and data integration practices.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Nice to Have:
- Experience working with cloud data platforms and APIs.
- Previous exposure to data governance or data quality frameworks.
