SAP S/4HANA Project Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Project Manager to lead large-scale SAP transformation initiatives based in Melbourne. This is a key leadership role responsible for delivering end-to-end SAP S/4HANA upgrade project, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

You will play a critical role in driving business transformation, working closely with senior stakeholders, functional and technical teams, and external partners to deliver high-quality outcomes aligned with strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle SAP S/4HANA implementation and upgrade projects from initiation through to go-live and hypercare
• Apply and govern projects using the SAP Activate methodology (Discover, Prepare, Explore, Realise, Deploy, Run)
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations
• Oversee end-to-end SAP project delivery across functional, technical, data migration, integration, and testing workstreams
• Manage RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) and proactively mitigate delivery risks
• Drive stakeholder engagement at executive and operational levels
• Ensure governance, reporting, and compliance with project management standards
• Lead cutover planning, go-live readiness, and transition to support
• Coordinate internal teams and external system integrators

Required Experience & Skills

• Proven experience as an SAP Project Manager delivering complex SAP programs
• Strong hands-on experience leading SAP S/4HANA implementations or upgrade projects
• Demonstrated experience using SAP Activate methodology
• Extensive end-to-end SAP project delivery experience (from business case through to hypercare)
• Strong understanding of SAP modules (e.g., Finance, Supply Chain, etc.)
• Experience managing large cross-functional teams and third-party vendors
• Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills
• Strong risk, financial, and commercial management capabilities
