About the Role
We are seeking an experienced SAP Purchasing Officer to support procurement operations during a busy project period. The role is ideal for someone who is highly organised, confident working within SAP S/4Hana (MM/P2P), and comfortable liaising with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure timely purchasing, order accuracy, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, process, and manage purchase requisitions (PRs) and purchase orders (POs) in SAP (MM).
- Monitor outstanding orders, follow up with suppliers, and expedite deliveries as required.
- Review and validate invoices, ensuring alignment with POs and resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure data integrity within SAP.
- Assist with sourcing activities, obtaining quotes, and supporting negotiation where required.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders including finance, operations, and supply chain teams.
- Support procurement reporting and compliance activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of purchasing processes.
Skills & Experience
- 2–5+ years’ experience in a Purchasing / Procurement Officer or similar role.
- Strong SAP experience, ideally SAP MM or P2P (mandatory).
- Solid understanding of procurement processes and best practice.
- High attention to detail and strong administrative skills.
- Ability to build relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast‑paced environment.
Desirable
- Basic understanding of contract terms and vendor management.
- Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
