SAP Data Business Analyst

We are looking for an experienced SAP Business Analyst who has had exposure to working with data and data related projects for a fixed term contract role in Melbourne. You will be tasked with maintaining the core master data of the organisation in line with relevant data standards to ensure accuracy, consistency and completeness.  Master data will reside primarily in SAP systems, however other enterprise solutions may also be in scope of the function if they are deemed to be the source of truth for key data objects in the organisation.

You will be accountable for:

• Supporting the establishment of the Data Maintenance function in line with the required project timelines (including managing dual maintenance activities between project releases)
• Contributing to the stabilisation of the function post go live
• Provision of high quality master data services to the organisation

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development of the Enterprise Data Maintenance function
• Actively seek to ensure currency and alignment to master data standards
• Timely creation and ongoing maintenance of master data relating to core business process areas across Finance, Sales, Supply, Supplier, Product and Service and Asset management
• Support organisational activities to enable data driven decision making
• Participate in data migration workgroup sessions and support the data migration and transformation business rules capture (during the project Unify timeframe)
• Support the review of master data standards technical documentation
• Contribute to the dual data maintenance activity required to support the Project Unify go live strategy (this is a ‘one-off’ activity and does not form part of ongoing role)

Skills Required

• Minimum 5-10 years' experience as a Business Analyst/Data Analyst working on end to end projects
• Minimum is 5 years experience working in SAP environment
• Strong background in SAP Data Management, Data Governance and understanding of Data Quality Rules
• Excellent documentation skills
• Proven ability to work with stakeholders from all areas of the business
