Our client is looking for an experienced SAP HANA Modeler for an exciting and varied contract role based in Melbourne Our client, who is in the midst of many large scale projects are looking for an SAP HANA Modeler for an initial 6 month contract starting ASAP. Key Responsibilities
- The role will require you to develop reusable high-performance HANA Data models (Calculation Views) in accordance with consolidated design principles and documented design detail
- Configuration of data acquisition tools such as BODS or SLT/SDI for identified data sources
- Requirements gathering and documenting requirements for design, including identification of source tables, fields, joins, filters, formulas/logic/calculations and any other business and data requirements
- Unit testing of data models; assist with User Acceptance Testing; and PVT testing
- Reporting/Front-End: Assist with development of user-facing artifacts such as Power Query, Power BI, or pushing Data Extracts to external platforms such as AWS
Skills Required
- Native HANA Data Modelling using Calculation Views
- Data Integration using ETL tools such as SDI, SLT, BODS
- Collaborating independently and directly with business domain SMEs
- Strong knowledge and experience reading/writing SQL
- Familiarity working with data sources such as SAP ECC, CRM, CMS, Azure AD, AWS S3, Azure Blob, public sources such as weather data etc
- Approaches challenges with curiosity to troubleshoot and offer innovative recommendations
- Remains current with and provides guidance on best-practices and architecture standards
- Experience developing reports with PowerBI (Not mandatory, nice to have)
