PMO Analyst - Governance/ Framework
Location: Perth, Australia
Duration: 6-Month Initial Contract
Are you a logical thinker with a knack for financial management and a passion for governance in projects? We are seeking a highly skilled PMO Analyst to join this dynamic team for a six-month initial contract based in Perth. Long term opportunity for the right person.
Role Overview
As a PMP Analyst, you will:
- Direct and Oversee Program Workstreams: Manage budgeting, financial reporting, and ensure strategic alignment with timelines
- Champion Prioritisation and Sequencing: Align initiatives with key milestones to ensure coherence
- Facilitate Business Case Creation: Streamline the process for budgets and initiatives
- Cultivate Stakeholder Relationships: Foster collaboration and engagement with Business Unit stakeholders
- Lead Governance Efforts: Deliver comprehensive reports on budget, scope, and project metrics while maintaining standardized documentation
- Enforce Project Controls: Manage program risks/issues, lessons learned, and ensure accurate budget management
- Optimize Program Budgets: Seek consolidation opportunities to minimize expenses and enhance forecast accuracy
- Mentor Delivery Teams: Enhance financial literacy and adherence to delivery frameworks
- Manage Project Meetings: Track progress, address critical issues, and escalate concerns proactively
- Coordinate Show-Back Sessions: Demonstrate progress and foster stakeholder communication
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements within the program
Required Skills
- Financial Management: Proficiency in budgeting, financial reporting, and cost management, including Excel
- SAP Finance Module Knowledge: Highly regarded.
- Prioritisation and Sequencing: Ability to prioritise and sequence initiatives effectively
- Business Case Development: Experience in creating well-written, succinct business cases and initiative briefs
- Reporting and Communication: Ability to create meaningful reports for stakeholders and communicate effectively
- Project Management: Understanding of project management and delivery frameworks
- Governance: Experience in governance/PMO and maintaining standardized documentation
- Organisation: Highly organised, capable of managing risks, keeping accurate notes, and meeting deadlines
- Continuous Improvement: Drive for identifying and implementing program enhancements
