Meet The Team5

Meet our newest Speller team member, Amanda Masters. This new mum from the mighty Murray region joins our number crunching team in Payroll/Account support.

Tell us a little bit of Amanda Masters history?

Originally from Robinvale on the Mighty Murray river, I made the move down to Melbourne after Year 12 then embarked on the stereotypical Aussie pilgrimage of travelling around Europe & UK for a year or so. After marrying in 2014, my husband and I were blessed to welcome a beautiful little girl into the world last year who, despite my wishes and protests, is growing up way too fast. 18 months old this week! So as you can imagine everything else is history as Zara happily takes up a lot of our time. I wouldn’t have it any other way, and definitely enjoy some deserving wines at the end of a long week.

Recently joining the Speller Team, what are you most looking forward to in your role as Payroll / Accounts Support?

I’m looking forward to working with some great people within a dynamic and positive environment. Everyone has been so welcoming already, which has made the transition very easy. With previous experience in Office Management/Operations, I hope to contribute right away to assist the team to grow and meet team and company goals while also further developing my knowledge and skills in all things accounts. Exciting times ahead.

Where do we find you in your down time?

You will find me spending time with my little family, planning little mini breaks to the beach or camping when the weather turns it on for us. Also, when I get a chance to ‘escape’ I love catching up with friends for a meal, drinks and lots of laughs, and enjoying a date night (movie/meal out) with the hubby when we can. Ahh the little things we used to take for granted…!

What does the FY17/18 hold both professionally and personally for you?

Being new to Speller and the Recruitment industry, I hope to learn and add as much value to the team as possible. On a personal level in 2018 I’m looking forward continuing the amazing journey of being a new mum and hope that I might be able to convince my husband to take us all on an overseas holiday.
