My corner has been a little quiet of late, but this month I have lots of things to talk about! The most important part of Speller International are my staff, and the company would not be where it is today without the fantastic team at Speller.

This month I would like to say a big congratulations to Chris Oughton on his promotion to Senior Recruitment Consultant! Chris was awarded Sales Person of Year FY2014/15 and has grown his division by 200% since then. His success to date is clearly a result of the clarity in which he understands not only his client’s requirements but also his candidate’s needs. His promotion is well deserved!

This month we are looking forward to the SAUG Brisbane Conference! As official supporters of the SAUG since 2009, we attend the conferences held in Brisbane and Melbourne, and the National Summit in Sydney each year. We are excited about the conference next week (May 11th) and myself and Candidate Manager Jack Bland will be onsite at the Sofitel. We will also be spending some extra time in Brisbane to catch up with our growing base of Queensland clients and candidates. We hope to see you up there!

Last month we ran our Easter Egg competition and congratulations to the winner John Meikle who had the closest guess. John won not only the jar of eggs but also tickets for he and a colleague to attend the inaugural Complete Stream KeyInsights conference in Melbourne which Spellers were sponsors. The conference had a great variety of presentations, including many international speakers that catered to everyone; from very technical talks to more simplified presentations which made the concepts easier to grasp. The presentations covered HANA as a database, Analytics tools, Big Data, Cloud Solutions along with various case studies. And of course there was great coffee (in awesome cups!) served courtesy of Speller International!
