About the company
Working for a global company in the infrastructure & mining services domain this company is a work leader in their field. They have a large and complex IT environment and are seeking an applications lead to manage the operations of numerous teams, vendors to ensure optimum delivery of support services.
Duties
- Lead a team of operators, specialists, contractors and professional services providers following HR, SHES and Procurement guidelines and requirements as line manager or contract owner
- Build a performance culture
- Lead and manage prioritisation, scheduling and balance of workload/work requests to meet required governance, SLAs and performance metrics and ensure effective utilization of team
- Proactively, develop and implement maintenance and support processes to deliver efficient and effective support and drive continuous improvements in the application operations area
- Responsible for ensuring outsource, contract and software vendors deliver effective IT performance
Skills & experience
- Experience managing outsource and software vendors
- Experience in SAP licensing and billing compliance
- Strong planning skills to conduct planning and forecasts
- Demonstrated experience and competency in project management methodologies
- Proven experience in managing a multi-sourced team of employees, contractors and multiple vendors
