About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Change Lead to join a major SAP S/4HANA transformation program delivering significant business and technology change. This is a senior leadership role responsible for defining and driving the change strategy while providing oversight and governance of an external change delivery partner.
Working closely with executive stakeholders and program leadership, you will ensure change activities are aligned to business objectives, risks are effectively managed, and the organisation is prepared to successfully adopt new business processes and ways of working enabled by SAP S/4HANA.
This role is ideally suited to a strong change practitioner who excels in complex stakeholder environments and is comfortable operating at both strategic and executive levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the overarching change management strategy for the SAP S/4HANA program.
- Provide leadership and direction to the external delivery partner, ensuring alignment with agreed outcomes and program objectives.
- Establish change governance, reporting, and assurance processes.
- Hold the delivery partner accountable for the quality, timeliness, and effectiveness of change deliverables.
- Work closely with Executive Sponsors, Program Directors, and governance forums to provide updates on change progress, risks, and organisational readiness.
- Identify, manage, and escalate change-related risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Lead stakeholder engagement across business, operational, and executive audiences.
- Oversee communications, business readiness, and adoption activities delivered by the partner and internal team.
- Support organisational readiness for new SAP S/4HANA processes, roles, and system capabilities.
- Support deployment planning, cutover readiness, go-live activities, and transition into operational support.
- Collaborate with program leadership to ensure change activities are integrated into overall program planning and delivery.
About You
You are a confident and influential leader with a proven track record of delivering organisational change within large-scale transformation programs. You are comfortable managing external partners, engaging with senior executives, and navigating complex stakeholder environments.
You will bring:
- Extensive experience leading organisational change within large transformation programs.
- Demonstrated experience supporting SAP transformation initiatives, and completed at least 1 SAP S/4HANA implementation.
- Experience managing and governing external delivery partners.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and executive communication skills.
- Experience working within complex or highly regulated environments.
- Demonstrated ability to establish change strategies and translate them into practical delivery outcomes.
- Strong risk, issue, and dependency management capability.
- Experience leading small internal change and communications teams.
- Excellent facilitation, influencing, and relationship management skills.
Desirable Experience
- Understanding of SAP Activate methodology and its application to organisational change and business readiness.
- Experience delivering change across Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Asset Management, HR, or other enterprise business functions.
