Azure Integration Lead

We’re looking for a senior, hands-on Azure Integration Lead to own end-to-end integration strategy and delivery across a major enterprise transformation. You’ll lead the integration architecture, design and build across Microsoft Azure Integration Services, ensuring integrations are robust, secure, scalable, observable and production-ready.

This is a 6-month contract with a strong view to permanent, ideal for someone who enjoys both technical leadership and being close to delivery.

The Role

As the Project Integration Lead, you will:

• Own the integration strategy, architecture, standards and delivery across a complex enterprise landscape, with Azure Integration Services at the core.
• Define integration principles and patterns including:
• API-led connectivity
• Event-driven / message-based integration
• Synchronous vs asynchronous trade-offs
• Error handling, retries, idempotency and reconciliation
• Produce and maintain key integration artefacts:
• System context + end-to-end data flow diagrams
• Interface catalogue + dependency map
• High-Level and Low-Level Integration Designs

Azure Integration Services (Core focus)

You’ll provide senior technical leadership across:

• Azure Logic Apps
• Azure Service Bus / Event Grid
• Azure API Management (APIM)
• Azure Functions (where appropriate)

You’ll also define API governance standards (versioning, throttling, security, lifecycle) and ensure integrations are built with monitorability, fault isolation and recoverability as first-class concerns.

EDI Exposure

There is a significant EDI environment, and you’ll help ensure end-to-end continuity across order and trading partner flows, acknowledgements and reconciliation, partnering closely with EDI platform teams.

What we’re looking for (Must have)

• Senior experience leading complex enterprise integration delivery
• Strong hands-on Azure integration experience across Logic Apps, Service Bus/Event Grid, APIM
• Proven ability to design for performance, resilience, security and supportability
• Experience delivering near real-time integrations at enterprise scale
• Strong stakeholder management across vendors, SIs and internal teams
• EDI integration ecosystem understanding

Nice to have (Desirable)

• SAP integration exposure (ECC6 and/or CPI / SAP BTP Integration Suite)
• Power Platform / Dataverse integration governance and ALM exposure
• Event-driven / message-oriented architecture experience
