​Last month we welcomed Emma Beale to the recruitment team. Emma brings extensive IT recruitment experience from both Melbourne agencies and New Zealand. We sat down with Emma to learn a bit more about her new role, her background and where you’ll find her in her downtime.

What is your role at Speller? What does an average day involve?

I am a candidate manager/recruitment consultant here at Speller. Working closely with the BDM team, I source, engage, and represent high-quality SAP/ERP candidates for roles across Australia. I spend most of my time chatting to SAP / ERP candidates, taking job briefs, meeting candidates, doing references calls, writing and managing job ads and putting together detailed candidate summaries and submissions for the BDM to present to the client. I also manage the on-boarding, extension and roll-off process for each of my candidates.

Tell us a bit about your professional background.

I have a background in Product & digital coordination and customer success coordination in NZ, both gave me a huge amount of experience in translating requirements between technical teams and the end users relying on the systems. It was from here that I naturally found my way to IT recruitment, connecting the right people with IT roles.

After relocating to Melbourne in 2023, I spent two and half years at PRA, working a range of IT roles (from project services, developers, data engineers and anyone in between!), partnering with clients ranging from state governments to multinational tech firms.

What are you enjoying about your role at Speller?

I love that every day is different – different problems, different solutions, different people!

Where do we find you in your downtime?

I enjoy doing Pilates or yoga, running or doing paint by numbers.

What's your favourite part of Australia?

Noosa!

​

What does 2026 hold both professionally and personally for you?

The chance to learn all about SAP and build some long term relationships with candidates!

I want to do more travelling and see more of Australia. And to focus on running more, I really want to complete another half marathon!
