Speller International had the pleasure to work in conjunction with WMC Resources – one of Australia’s largest natural resource companies.

Speller International was initially approached (due to positive recommendation within the industry) to undertake a large SAP recruitment project in conjunction with WMC’s in-house recruitment centre.

The task was to create a new SAP Project Manager / Principle Consultant team and additionally help complete the recruitment for the larger existing SAP Support team based in Melbourne.

Every role was given to Speller International exclusively and on a retained basis. The roles encompassed all of the core SAP R/3 modules and some of the newer SAP technologies. The role types ranged from permanent Senior Consulting Management level right through to SAP technical staff – support and project based work.

An extremely high calibre of candidate was sought and the mix of skills was at times unconventional. Due to this, all endeavours were made to identify the right mix of candidate – both in skills and personal character. Speller International liaised quite heavily with the WMC internal recruitment team throughout this process to not only add value to the process but to act as a quality assurance check and balance.

The outcome was extremely successful with over 15 key placements being made.
